Basket weaving is an art that is passed down through generations, with different tribes developing unique styles. When creating basket designs, mathematics is used to plot points and understand basic geometry, as specific coordinates determine the pattern. The students demonstrated software that allows the user to enter coordinates and select colors to digitally design a basket pattern of lines and shapes like diamonds and crosses.
