• The only bowler to dismiss three batsmen for 99 in tests is West
Indies’ Ravi Rampaul. He dismissed Virat Kohli for 99 in 2013, Jos Buttler
in 2014 and got Kusal Perera one short in November.
• David Warner became just the third batsman in test history to score
hundreds in both innings of a match for the third time with 163 and 116
against New Zealand in Brisbane. He previously got double tons against
South Africa in 2014 and India later that year. Ricky Ponting and Sunil
Gavaskar are the others to achieve this feat on three occasions.
• The fastest batsman to 1000 runs in Twenty20 Internationals is Virat
Kohli, who took just 27 innings to reach the milestone.
•The fastest to 1000 ODI runs is a four-way tie between West Indian great
Viv Richards, Englishmen Kevin Pietersen and JonathanTrott and South Afri-
can Quinton de Kock, who each had 21 innnings to get to the mark.
• The quickest in test cricket are two greats of the game: England’s Herb
Sutcliffe and West Indian Everton Weekes.They both reached 1000 runs
in their 12th innings.
• The first international cricketer to make 200 in ODI’s was Australian
legend Belinda Clark. Clark hit 229 not out against Denmark in 1997
and it remains the only double in women’s ODIs.
