We placed a bag with leaves on a tree branch to observe what would happen. After a week, we found water at the bottom of the bag. The leaves contained moisture from rain absorbed by the tree's roots. Heat from the sun caused the water in the leaves to evaporate, turning into vapor. When this vapor hit the cooler surface of the plastic bag, it condensed back into liquid water droplets, leaving the bottom of the bag wet.
