Storlets provides an execution environment for applications on object storage. It allows easy application deployment via Swift upload and execution through REST APIs. The 1.0.0 release in OpenStack Queens focused on packaging, stability, and testing. Future work includes container isolation for security, Python 3 support, and integrating with other FaaS tools.
