Pete Barr-Watson presented on the relationship between One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) and Creative Commons (CC). The OLPC laptop is designed to be inexpensive, rugged, power efficient, and comes equipped with wireless networking and open source software. CC licenses are being used for educational content on the laptops. The iCommons project is developing open educational resources and curriculum that will be available under CC licenses for use on the OLPC laptops to promote learning around the world.
