Philadelphia's 21st annual Alternative Prom for LGBTQ youth and allies will take place on June 25th at the William Way LGBT Community Center under the theme "Under the Sea". The Alternative Prom aims to provide a night of dancing, food and entertainment for LGBTQ youth in a non-judgemental space where they can feel celebrated for who they are without worrying about acceptance at a traditional prom. Donations of $50 or more are being accepted by June 17th to support the event and sponsors will be recognized in the program.

1. Galaei is proud to be hosting Philadelphia’s 21st annual Alternative Prom for LGBTQ
youth and allies. This year’s theme is​ ​Under the Sea​ and it will take place on Saturday
June 25th, from 7­10PM, in the William Way LGBT Community Center. Our alternative
prom aims to provide one glorious night of dancing, food, entertainment for LGBTQ
youth, who might not feel welcome or safe in a traditional prom setting. The Alternative
Prom is a non­judgemental space where LGBTQ youth can bring their partners, feel at
ease, and be celebrated for who they are.
