Who exactly is the woman behind all that glitter and sass?
I am a proud “Gator Gal” of the University of Florida who
received my B.S. in Health Science Education. Following
graduation, I earned my way up the corporate ladder as
a Day Spa Manager while simultaneously opening and
managing a Personal Training Studio. Balancing both
professions with extreme effort, sacrifice, and dedication,
I realized what really captured butterflies in my stomach
each morning was...
“WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?”
Upon much needed- much, much needed self evaluation,
I realized it was time to have a truth moment with Erika.
And truth is, I am a self-taught designer with sass - willing
and confident to express it while encouraging others to
do the same. As I unfolded my unknown talent for design,
windows of opportunities came pouring my way- from
creating pieces on the runway for Ankara Miami 2012 and
2013, of which was featured on Essence.com, a custom
design for VH1 Love & Hip Hop’s Rasheeda Buckner, and
designing for wonderful people I have met in every day
walks of life.
In my world, style supersedes fashion. It creates a genuine
connection with the designer and the individual; capturing
a direct reflection of their vision, and that jaw- dropping
moment in time. I become so elated when I can take part
in helping someone fuse the two facets- how they want to
LOOK, & how they want to FEEL for their special occasion.
When someone trusts my artistic sense of style, it is
humbling. And IT’S A MAJOR DEAL! Be it an unforgettable
moment of celebration, or a Friday night out with the girls,
either way, it’s a moment to shine, UNAPOLOGETICALLY!
My trademark style is unorthodox, eclectic, and intimate. It
is the culmination of unexpected textures & tones blending
beyond tradition... with an Unapologetic Presence!
