07. Background of the Organization: “Oikoumene Development Foundation-ODF” a non-governmental, humanitarian,
non-profitable, and human development organization, setup on 06 January 2012 established by some Socially devotes and
committed individuals who have 25 years above working experiences with donor, international and national organizations and
they have acknowledged on to make enlighten human through established this ODF. The entrepreneurs are believed that a
society and culture would be changed if the people have walking on the right path as believes and denominations of themselves.
This will be needed enlighten people in the society and this is why journeyed of the organization start. ODF respects rights and
dignity of children, women, tribal, persons with disabilities and all human beings for all people. All the members of ODF maintain
Child Protection Policy and CP Code of Conduct. It serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender or ability for
salvation through positive change.

i) To establish and operate orphaned children homes, student home/hostels, sisters hostels, old-age men/women
home, special educational institutions of blind/deaf/dumb/other disabled peoples under welfare projects in
different part of the country including provide support/stipends to orphans children, adolescent, visually
impaired, handicap, disables, distressed women & old-age people’s home, and hope center for rehabilitation.
ii) To undertake, and operates child protection related advocacy or direct support programme to
establish child rights and human rights in the society and carry its development program through partnership,
networking approaches, self-help groups among like-minded voluntary organization.
iii) To undertake and publish Newspapers/newsletters, brochures, souvenirs, periodical books to highlight
the news and ideological views of foundation on the aforesaid matters in society and to acquire by purchase or
otherwise lands, buildings, other property, moveable or immoveable, which the organization, for the purpose
thereof may, from time to time, think proper way to acquire for the organizational sustainability.
iv) To operate community managed income-generating program through set-up small cottage industry,
poultry farming, live stock rearing, nursery establish, home-based gardening for livelihoods and fulfills
nutritional demands sustainable nutritional status at households and community people are sufferings by
malnourish around in Bangladesh.
v) To give or assists or provide relief and rehabilitation supports of persons or families affected by any
natural and other calamities such-flood, fire, famine, cyclone, earth-quake, storm, accident, pestilence, drought,
epidemic, un-bearable cost of living and any other like these matters including undertake DRR&M programme
and implementation of Climate Change Agenda related activities elaborately all over Bangladesh.
vi) To establish and operate Schools (Pre-primary, Primary, Non-formal & Formal, Technical and non-
technical), Computer/mobile phone training center, Mother & Child Healthcare Center, Nutrition Center,
Hospital/Clinics, Eye care Center, Library, Study Circle Group, Reading-rooms, Cultural Centers,
mothers/adolescent/youth club, Training Centers, Educational Institution, Community Halls, Vocational Training
Centers, and other educational institutions on modern technical and technological issues for imparting better
development skills and moral teaching to children, youth, women, adolescent and disables people in any part of
Bangladesh
vii) To establish, promote, set-up and operates consultancy firm and research institution as sister
organization for sustainable of the foundation solvency all over in Bangladesh. And to create employment and
earning sources and to start different welfare fund such- children welfare fund, education welfare fund, medical
welfare fund, deposit pension scheme and insurance schemes for the community people.
viii) To give support, grant, scholarship, stipends, rewards, allowances, prizes and other financial and
technical assistance to students are meritorious becoming from ethnic communities, minorities, poorest,
orphans, disables and distressed students in schools, college and other educational institutions.
ix) To establish, promote, set-up, maintain and assist in the missionary works, gospel preaching, church,
institution of Bible teaching college, seminaries and other charitable institution or forum to disseminate, moral
and spiritual ideas among all human in Bangladesh.
x) Undertakes and operates MCH&N programme through maintaining IMCI and IYCF protocols of
Government health department at community and facility level around any part of Bangladesh and to create
awareness of reproductive health, anti-drug movement prevents, Family Planning, MCH&N, WASH,
environmental hygiene, HIV/AIDS/STDs and trafficking, and the foundation shall organize any course of training
on nursing, midwifery, paramedics hiring resource persons.
xi) To propagate and restore moral and spiritual value of religion of the society irrespective of caste,

To be expanded to vulnerable districts such- Kurigram, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Netrokona, Jessore, Khulna, Bagerhat,

a) To operate and implement child labour, child rights, and trafficking prevention project for child protection through
advocacy, training, seminar, counseling and mass campaign along with education and vocational training. Providing
support of health and nutrition services.
b) Priority basis implementation of Mother & Child Health and Nutrition project.
c) Reproductive health for adolescents through training, counseling, and services.
d) Building forum, clubs and groups with youths providing training on human development, ICT, life-skill and
knowledge events for creates enlighten human with high level of morality.
e) Building Mothers club to the community with services on health, nutrition, ANC & PNC, family planning, and referral
including awareness rising.
f) Set up Old-age Home Programme at district and divisional level.

Executive Officer of the organization.

ODF is launching the programs through Head Office & 05 Branch Office in different area with necessary assets and
fixtures in small scale. It has office houses (Rental), Training centers (Rental), Furniture’s, Equipment’s (official &
programs), General materials, and Stationeries,
It has good Bi-laws, service rules, operational manual, financial manual, training module and program operation related
documents and monitoring tools.
It has numbers of human resources who have track record experience and excellent capacity to manage, operate and
monitoring to the programme effectively.
27. ODF Governance (Board of operations):
It has 02 (Two) tire for decisions making process for smooth operation of the foundation, such-Executive Board
consisting 09 (Nine) members and General Body with 22 members are playing important role to provide suggestions,
decisions and guidance to the operation team.
General Body: ODF is consisting of 22 members are the supreme authority of the organization. This body is call
twice a year in the meeting. Besides, an Executive Board is empowered by the GC and responsible for guiding
decision/policy making and monitors the project activities from time to time.
Executive Board: EB meeting generally is held quarterly to review and project activities. During the meeting work
done is evaluated, problems are threshed out; future policy is charted out for the well functioning of the
project/programme activities.

Strengths & Capacities of ODF: ODF is launching the programs through Head Office & 05 Branch Office in different area with necessary assets and fixtures in small scale. It has office houses (Rental), Training centers (Rental), Furniture’s, Equipment’s (official & programs), General materials, and Stationeries, It has good Bi-laws, service rules, operational manual, financial manual, training module and program operation related documents and monitoring tools. ODF Governance (Board of operations): It has 02 (Two) tire for decisions making process for smooth operation of the foundation, such-Executive Board consisting 09 (Nine) members and General Body with 22 members are playing important role to provide suggestions, decisions and guidance to the operation team. General Body: ODF is consisting of 22 members are the supreme authority of the organization. This body is call twice a year in the meeting.
