Hana Katherine Hinds, 80 of Emeryville, California, died on December 3, 2071 at
Emeryville General Hospital. Born on February 14, 1991, in Bethesda, Maryland, she was the
daughter of Don Hinds, and Judy Ozone. She was the wife of Dominic “12 chairs” Waylon
Collins.
She was a production manager at Pixar in Emeryville, and was a Japanese tutor on the
side for more than 40 years. She was a member of several obscure art organizations, and was a
board member of the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle. She was known by her friends as “The
Roaming Gnome” and enjoyed watching movies, and going to comic conventions. She liked
playing with her pets Reinette, and Fulton. Her family and friends always described her as “an
old soul but young at heart.”
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Kaori E. Collins, and husband Geoffrey
Nelson,Reiko “juggernaut” Collins, and Ryota Y. Collins and husband Kurt Baker; grandchildren
Valerie, Lynn, and Minoru.
The funeral will be held on Saturday December 6, 2071 at Borthwick Mortuary at 6pm in
Emeryville.
