2. What is Energy Saving?
Energy saving is every decrease in
the production, work force and our
comfort with view to using energy
efficiently and not wasting it.

4. Why Should We Use Energy
Efficiently?
Because the natural resources are being
exhausted rapidly and environmental pollution
is increasing.
6. Lamps at Home
If you use compact fluorescent light
bulbs (white in color), the energy
savings can reach up to 80%.
7. Lamps at Home
Points to be taken into consideration:
- Chandeliers used for decorative
purposes and any kind of lamps with
incandescent light bulbs (yellow in
color) spend a lot of energy when on.

- The lamps should be kept clean,
dusty lamps should be wiped up.

- Quit turning off your television sets,
satellite receiver, etc. by setting up and
waiting for the special sleep feature
(found on the remote control). If
electric devices are turned off from the
remote control, up to 5% more
electricity is spent than if the actual
device is used.

• Computers that do not perform any
operations, and are on “standby” consume
about 27 watts, which can be considered as
somewhat high consumption.
• Computers that are off, even if their power is
set to zero, keep consuming about 5 watts.
• Therefore, to make sure that your
computer does not consume any energy,
unplug the cable.

heating. Heating insulation is an important
feature, with which any loss of energy can
be decreased.
Fuel saving is likely to reach from 25 up to
50% if the buildings are insulated.
