Alessio Nebbia Colomba received his MSc in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Pisa. For his master's thesis, he completed an internship at the Belgian Nuclear Research Center where he developed a numerical simulation of a lead oxide mass exchanger to control oxygen in a liquid lead bismuth cooled nuclear reactor. This work gave him experience in dealing with chemistry and thermal-hydraulic problems of Gen IV reactors as well as practical engineering issues. Based on his thesis work and personal qualities, he has qualified himself as a promising researcher and engineer in the field of nuclear energy.
