JUMPERS TO FOLLOW
NOVEMBER 2015 UPDATE
The followinghorsescaughtmyeye andhave beenaddedtomy‘alertlist’followingaperformance
or performancesinNovember. Asperthe HorsesTo Follow’listIputtogethera monthago these will
be highlightedbasedonthe followingcriteria:
 Theyare all young:None isovereightyearsof age andall are relativelyunexposedintheir
chosendiscipline,hopefullywith(plentyof) improvementtocome.Atthe veryleastIwould
expectanet increase inthe handicapmarksof the 22 selectionsinthislist
 Theyhave all run quickly: Icompose speedfiguresformostrace meetingsinthe UKand
Ireland.Atsome pointeveryone of the selectionsonthis listhasputup a ‘fasterthanrace
class’time andin some cases, the selectionhasputupseveral suchfigures
 Theyare all winners:Crucial thatan animal knowswhere the winningpostisandhasthe
guts andresolutiontostickitsneckout at the businessendof a race
 In myjudgementtheyare withatrainerwhocan maximise the potentialof the horse be it
withcannyplacementinraces, preparingthe horse togive itsbestor puttingitin the hands
of the rightjockeywhen‘expected’(hopefullyall three).
Whilstas faras the jumpsseasonisconcerned,‘all roadsleadtoCheltenham’ thesemay or maynot
endup at PrestburyParkinmid-March,but I’mmore concernedwiththempoppingupat decent
odds– whichinmy case meansgreaterthan 3/1 as I cannotwork out‘value’atodds lowerthanthat
- somewhere thisseason.

Won the bumperat Cheltenhamon the Sundayof the PaddyPowermeeting like aclasshorse, from
a fieldfull of previouswinners. AfterwardsTwiston-Daviessaiditwouldbe 50:50 whetherhe
continuesinBumpersorgoeshurdlingandhe's25/1 for the Festival Bumper. Now,loadsof ifshere,
whichshouldbe reflectedinhisprice anda stake but floatwithme a while here….
If he doesgo hurdlingyou'dhave tothinkitwouldbe the Neptune he'dbe aimedat, givenhisstyle
of racing. It's alsoa race where Twiston-Davieshas'previous'(Gaelstrom,Fundamentalist,The New
One). He thinksthe worldof thishorse so won'trush him, butif there'sany indicationhurdlingisthe
