1. Overfull: Cart is too full. Lid must be closed completely.
2. Extra Bags: Will not pick them up without prior
authorization. Call PSSI to schedule.
3. Too Large: Can may not exceed 32 gallons or be heavier
than 60 pounds when filled.
4. Debris: Garbage was already on the ground upon arrival.
5. Bagged Items: Ashes, Styrofoam peanuts & similar items
must be bagged before placing in your garbage can.
6. Bulky Items: Will not be picked up. Call PSSI to
schedule a special “bulky” or “large item” pick up.
7. Other Materials: No auto parts, tires, dirt, rocks,
concrete or other construction materials allowed.
8. No Hazardous Waste or Flammables: No motor oil,
batteries, pesticides, coal, etc. Call the County Hazardous
Waste
Program at (408) 299-7300 for disposal information.
9. E-Waste: Monitors, televisions, and other electronic waste
are banned from the landfill. Call to schedule a special pick
up
for a fee or come drop them off free of charge at the drop-off
center.
