Hi, Ms. Fischer! I hope everything is going well! It has been a long time since I was in your 6th grade class. I
was actually going to send you a letter earlier this year to thank you for being an amazing, inspiring teacher,
but I guess you had moved on from HUES by then. Anyway, I am a junior in college at the University of North
Carolina Wilmington. I am studying psychology (I think it was in your class that I learned that I loved social
sciences/studies). I am hoping to go to medical school after graduating. I have also gotten a lot better at writing
haha. I remember how challenging it was back in the day, but now I am a writing tutor. Thank you for being
one of my all-time favorite elementary schoolteachers! I wish I could go back to learning about Mesopotamia
and memorizing MLK's "I Have a Dream" Also, I read the Odyssey again last summer for another class.
Surprisingly, I remembered a lot from when we read it. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of classical
literature! Take care! Nathan Liu
