5. HOW IS NICOTINE ..… “ADDICTIVE ?”
Nicotine causes artificial stimulation of
production of hormones associated with
pleasure, stimulation, etc. The brain attempts
to compensate for artificial stimulation by
downregulating natural stimulation of
production of such hormones. This causes
withdrawal symptoms of anxiety, fatigue,
decreased concentration, and heightened
sensitivity to pain, and contributes to: high
relapse rates!

6. FDA & INFORMED CONSENT
The FDA has REQUIRED the disclosure of health-sensitive
information on packages of foods and drugs since
1994, including caloric content, sugar content, fat
content, alcohol proof, etc.
The Nutrition Labeling and Education Act of 1990 (NLEA) provides
FDA with specific authority to REQUIRE nutrition labeling of most
foods regulated by the Agency; and to REQUIRE that all nutrient
content claims (i.e., 'high fiber', 'low fat', etc.) and health claims be
consistent with agency regulations.
