Data fusion tools combine data from different heterogeneous sources together to provide more efficient representation
of data.
Data fusion tools aim to associate textual and/or spatial data in different structures from different sources in terms of
geometry. Additionally process of data from multiple image sources is achieved by Data fusion services.
D5.1.1 Pilots description and requirements elicitation reportFOODIE_Project
In the FOODIE project, it is of crucial importance to have well defined, and detailed, functional and technical specifications of the FOODIE service platform hub. In view of this objective, the task 5.1 Pilots
Specification and Stakeholders Requirements Elicitation, within the Work Package 5, has an important role in serving as primary input for technical work packages. By taking feedback from users as soon as possible and delivering software incrementally, FOODIE will greatly improve results and will be focused on user needs and not on technical needs.
Pilots in three different countries have been established: Czech Republic, Germany and Spain. These pilots
and their stakeholders will be the basis for collecting the requirements to design the FOODIE platform and
provide the services that will fulfil their needs. In addition to the stakeholders involved in the pilots, other end-users partners will provide requirements and participate in the testing of the platform
This document provides instructions for using a pH meter to test soil pH in the field. It discusses how soil acidification has become a problem in the Pacific Northwest due to nitrogen applications. A handheld pH meter called a Soil Stik allows testing soil samples in the field without mixing or sending samples to a lab. Users calibrate the meter, collect intact soil cores, and test the pH at different depths to identify stratified acid layers that standard sampling may miss. Recording GPS locations of samples allows monitoring pH changes over time.

Performance enhancement of actively controlled hybrid dc microgrid incorporat...Asoka Technologies
In this paper, a new energy control scheme is proposed for actively controlled hybrid dc microgrid to reduce the adverse impact of pulsed power loads. The proposed energy control is an adaptive current-voltage control (ACVC) scheme based on the moving average measurement technique and an adaptive proportional compensator. Unlike conventional energy control methods, the proposed ACVC approach has the advantage of controlling both voltage and current of the system while keeping the output current of the power converter at a relatively constant value. For this study, a laboratory scale hybrid dc microgrid is developed to evaluate the performance of the ACVC strategy and to compare its performance with the other conventional energy control methods. Using experimental test results, it is shown that the proposed strategy highly improves the dynamic performance of the hybrid dc microgrid. Although the ACVC technique causes slightly more bus voltage variation, it effectively eliminates the high current and power pulsation of the power converters. The experimental test results for different pulse duty ratios demonstrated a significant improvement achieved by the developed ACVC scheme in enhancing the system efficiency, reducing the ac grid voltage drop and the frequency fluctuations.
The document provides specifications and packing information for various components used in window coverings. It includes measurements in both millimeters and inches for head rails, bottom rails, and other parts. Each component lists the part number, description, quantity per bag and crate, gross weight, and cubic feet. The specifications are provided at scales of 1 inch/25mm, 1.5 inch/35mm, and 1-9/16 inch/40mm.

DOES SFO 2016 - Mark Imbriaco - Lessons From the Bleeding EdgeGene Kim
Mark Imbriaco has over 20 years of experience leading operations at several tech companies. In this document, he shares lessons he has learned around making small incremental decisions, fighting "hero culture" where engineers take on too much, practicing systems to increase confidence under stress, designing for collaboration and visibility, and creating a culture of shipping products. The overall message is about the importance of flexible processes that incorporate learning from successes and failures.
DOES SFO 2016 - Michael Nygard - Tempo, Maneuverability, InitiativeGene Kim
Tempo. Most people are familiar with it in the musical sense. It’s the speed, cadence, rhythm that the music is played. It drives the music forward - and pulls it back. But there’s more to tempo than a musical beat. In war, like in business, tempo - the speed at which you can transition from one task to the next - is a critical component for victory.
No single person nor department owns tempo. Somebody can’t just shout, “I now control the tempo,” and take charge. If you operate at a faster tempo than your cycle time allows, then you’ll get thrashing. The rate of tempo emerges organically as companies move around that action loop of sensing, deciding and acting.
Tempo emerges from the convergence of architecture, infrastructure, organization, and mindset. All these things have to align to achieve tempo. None of them can be changed in isolation.
In this talk, we will look at different models for transforming an organization to high tempo and high performance. We'll see how that can get derailed and what to do about it.

In my previous years’ talks at DevOps Enterprise Summit, I spoke about starting and scaling of DevOps at Capital One; importance of Open Source, Open Technology and Innovations in DevOps.
This year, I will present Capital One’s journey of maturing in DevOps and Continuous Delivery. My presentation will cover our current areas of focus: Delivery Pipeline, Flow and Measurements. I will also share some of the problems we faced and what we did to solve them.
