Project Title – DESIGN, ANALYSIS AND DVELOPMENT OF DIESEL SEA WATER
SEPARATOR AND FILTER FOR MARINE APPLICATIONS.
Description: An R&D project at Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment,
DRDO, Avadi, where a separator filter unit is designed and developed indigenously for the first time
as an import substitution which is used for separating and filtering sea water from diesel and then
employed as fuel for marine diesel engines. The project involves calculation of various design
parameters, developing a solid model and carrying out a stress analysis there by providing a
validation for the design. A Fabrication of the model has been planned in the month of May, 2016.

Project Title- DESGIN AND FABRICATION OF CROSS FLOW HEAT EXCHANGER
Description- The main objective of the project is to design and fabricate single pass concentric tube
type cross flow heat exchanger for cooling two liquids, with a very unique design and calculate
various parameters such as temperatures, heat transfer coefficient, and etc. by LMTD analysis
method.
