New dockets in
1. Docket Logging Screen
We have a new computer facility in the Installation Office
which will gradually replace the current paper sheet that
is used to enter new Installation Dockets to a preferred day
2. Docket Logging Screen
The system is currently located alongside the Fixer’s
Docket Return Station in the Production Office.
This location may change, but the system won’t …
4. Docket Logging Screen
For the time-being we will continue to use the paper system as well.
As for the computer system, the first task is to scan the Docket QR Code.
Touch the panel ‘Scan a Job’ …
Scan a Job
6. Docket Logging Screen
… This will create a ‘Job Ticket’ in the Jobs area, which is
a storage location for all new scans.
7. Docket Logging Screen
Next, use your finger on the touch screen to drag that Job Ticket
onto the date you want the job installed (This is the equivalent
of writing the Job in the correct box of the paper system) …
8. Docket Logging Screen
The Job has now been moved onto the preferred day (the day-
box will expand to accommodate as many jobs as required) … You can scan back and
forth to bring the correct
week into view.
9. Docket Logging Screen
If the Job is scheduled for more than one day, use the dark
tab at the right side to drag the ‘Ticket’ out across as many
days as needed …
10. Docket Logging Screen
… or back down to One Day …
At this stage, you could also drag
the job to a different day, or into
the Trash Can if it was a mistake.
11. Docket Logging Screen
You are now done with the Docket Logging. Leave
the Docket on the rack for Rocky’s attention.
(And, for now, also complete the old paper system)
12. Docket Logging Screen
Back at your own desk, you can view the Docket screen
on your own computer by means of a desktop link that
will be provided.
What’s more, you can still move and stretch the
Job around the days, as already shown, from
your own desktop (though you will need to go
to the host-station to scan anything new).
13. Docket Logging Screen
The next step will be for Rocky to pick up your Job and
assign it to a crew on the main Installation system.
Once he has done this …
14. Docket Logging Screen
… the display on the new screen (and on your desktop web-view)
will turn green, indicating that the Job has been picked up and
assigned. You will no longer be able to access or move it.
