3. Experience Music Project
TheEMP
Museum
About:If you like music and all the culture surrounding it
then the EMP Museum is a must stop for you! This
museum is not like any other museum that you
will ever see and is truly one of a kind. This wacky
building located at the Seattle Center next to the
Space Center is host to many renowned exhibits
along with the biggest collection of music sensa-
tions Nirvana and Jimmy Hendricks memorabilia.
These exhibits range from pop culture and sci-
ence fiction to film and even video games. I have
personally been here multiple times and if the
building alone doesn’t amaze you then the endless
amounts of entertainment and activities will.
The “IF VI WAS IX”
is an example of the many jaw drop-
ping attractions here at the EMP mu-
seum. Composed of over 500 musical
instruments and 30 computers this
sculpture not only looks amazing but
is functional as well. The IF VI WAS
IX was built with headphones that
allow visitors to listen to one of the
musical numbers performed by the
sculpture.
4. Pike
Place
More than a
Farmers Market:
Now I have already mentioned the
SkyCity restaurant as one of the places
you must go to enjoy some good food
but it would be crime to not visit Pike
Place Market. This is not your run of the
mill farmers market by any definition.
This magical place is not only filled with
homegrown veggies and fresh fish but
with a wide variety of unique shops,
vendors and restaurants. If you can’t
find a one of a kind Seattle souvenir or at
least have some good eats then you must
have had your eyes closed!
Fresh Fish
Anyone ?
One of the most watched
spectacle in the market is
the infamous “fish tossing”.
The fish market located un-
der the Public Market sign
in the picture to the left has
built a name for itself using
a unique system of tossing
the fresh fish that customers
have perchased before it is
prepped and wrapped
5. Mt. Rainier
National Park
This beautiful park is ev-
ery nature lover’s dream! If this picture alone
doesn’t make you want to visit then you’re clear-
ly not the outdoors type. The nations 5th nation-
al park to be created Mt. Rainier was the first
national park to be created from a national for-
est. This scene being one of them, the park con-
tains a total of 42 designated locations on the
National Register of Historic. This is the place
you want to be if you want to experience the
real outdoors as nature intended.
About The Mountain:
This glorious stratovolcano stands 14,500 ft.
and contains over 25 glaciers, breath taking
waterfalls and lush forest. The mountain is also
a very popular for mountaineering with over
10,000 people attempting the climb every year
and only about half of them make it all the way
to the summit.
