Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was an Indian politician who served as the 6th President of India from 1977 to 1982. He was born in 1913 in Illur Village, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh and died in 1996 in Bangalore. Reddy held several prominent political positions including being the first and two-time Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, a two-time speaker of the Lok Sabha, a Union Minister, and was renowned for being a skilled politician throughout his career.
