Preliminary Round
1. Only Level III CJC BS Nursing students are eligible to join.
2. The Preliminary Round is composed of 3 categories: Easy,
Moderate, and Difficult Round.
3. For the Easy Round, there will be 10 questions. Each
question constitutes 1 point.
4. For the Moderate Round, there will be 10 questions. Each
question constitutes 3 points.
5. For the Difficult Round, there will be 5 questions. Each
question constitutes 5 points.
6. The 10 highest pointers will proceed to the FINAL ROUND.
Final Round
1. All scores will be back to zero for the Final Round.
2. The Final Round is composed of 3 categories: Easy,
Moderate, and Difficult Round.
3. For the Easy Round, there will be 10 questions. Each
question constitutes 1 point.
4. For the Moderate Round, there will be 10 questions. Each
question constitutes 3 points.
5. For the Difficult Round, there will be 10 questions. Each
question constitutes 5 points.
6. The 3 highest pointers will represent Cor Jesu College in the
Battle of the Nightingales Region XI 2025.
Rules and Procedures
1. Each participant will be given a marker and a paper for them
to write their answers.
2. Each question will only be read once before the timer starts.
3. The questions will cover all concepts in Nursing including topics
yet to be discussed.
4. There will be Multiple Choices, Identification, and
Computation.
5. For Multiple Choice questions, participants will be given 10
seconds to answer.
6. For Identification, participants will be given 15 seconds to write
their answer. Wrong spelling is marked incorrect.
7. For Computation, participants will be given 30 seconds to write
the number with corresponding unit of measurement.
TIE-BREAKER
1. In cases of tied scores, a Tie-Breaker Round will immediately ensue
and will be sudden death in nature.
2. The tie breaker will continue until the tie is broken. The first
participant to get the correct answer will advance to the next stage.
PROTEST
1. Protest can be initiated by any participant by raising their hand after the
correct answer is announced and before the next question is read.
2. During a protest, contestants may consult relevant references to
support their case.
