NASA

NASA uses a large balloon made of durable polyester fabric to lift instruments over 120,000 feet into the stratosphere to conduct environmental assessments of Earth from near space. The balloon has the size of a baseball stadium and allows NASA to study our planet from above the highest commercial airplanes fly.
