1. † My Family journey †
My family records indicate that my
ancestors were born in Pamplona,
Spain by the year 1920. They lived in a
small house between “Plaza de Toros”
and “Plaza San José”, where Martin
Urrutipi passed most of his life working
and studying.

3. • In the year 1936, during Franco`s
government, his parents had not
choice than emigrate from the
country due to the civil war that
Spain suffered in that time. They
were worried about their new destiny
and they didn`t have much savings,
so they asked for help at the council,
but unfortunately they didn`t help
them because they had bigger
problems. Martin`s family were at the
corner of “Plaza de Toros” when a
men approached and asked them if
they wanted to buy tickets to go to a
country called Argentina, and they
were so desperate that that
afternoon they embarked to the new
place Argentina.

4. Travelling to new destiny

5. They travelled in a ship called “Nueva
Esperanza” and it arrived two days after the
scheduled date because there were strong
winds across the ocean. Once in La Plata, his
father used his last savings to rent a cheap
room for two weeks in an old inn. They didn`t
have money for food or clothing, so his
mother began working as a maid for a rich
man near the inn, and his father got a job in a
bakery as an assistant in the centre of the city.

6. By the year 1938, Martin left home because he
wanted to live somewhere else, and that`s when he
went to live to Berisso where he got a job in a mall.
The city was really quiet, and the citizens were
gentle and respectful, nobody judged him for being
Spanish. His employer had a beautiful daughter
called Alcira, who later on would be his wife. Through
years they became a strong couple and they had
several kids including my father(1957).

7. When my father was born (1957) they were
already living in Llavallol because my
grandfather was offered a good job in
Firestone and took it.My father studied at
the same school my mother did, and there
is where they met with the particular detail
that my father is 5 years older. My
grandfather Cayetano Saucedo (my
mother`s father) was against their
relationship because my mother was 12
when they began dating and she had to
sneak out from the house to see my father.
They were dating for 11 years when my
father finally proposed her; they got married
and went to live to Mar del Plata where they
run a restaurant with my uncle for 3 years.

9. In the year 1989 they decided to move back
to Llavallol because I was born and some
thieves broke into the restaurant and stole
all the money we had pointing me on the
head with a gun. My parents were so scared
about it that we went to live with my
grandparents till my parents had saved
money to build a house. After 8 years of
hard work they finished the house where we
actually live in.
