  4. 4. First Years in Italy <ul><li>Juan Capristo </li></ul><ul><li>My grandfather was born in a middle class family in Calabria a region situated in Cosenza, Italy. </li></ul>
  5. 5. His Youth <ul><li>He spent his days as a teenager in Calabria. </li></ul><ul><li>He used to go to the school, where he managed to study all the primary. </li></ul><ul><li>He lived a quiet, peaceful life until the Second War World began. </li></ul>
  6. 6. The Second World War <ul><li>One of the most dramatically moments of the history began in 1940. My grandfather was enrolled and when it was over, he was forgotten on the Rhode Island FOUR YEARA… </li></ul>This photograph taken during The Second War World shows two soldiers in a battle

  8. 9. Argentina <ul><li>When The Second World War finished in 1945 approximately, Europe was devastated, everyone was looking for a country with new possibilities and a better life. In addition, he decided to immigrate to Argentina. He married Rita Grilletta -my grandmother-, with whom he had two daughters: Raquel and Cristina, my mother. </li></ul>

  10. 11. Last Years <ul><li>Juan Capristo died last year at the age of 87, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he spent his last years and most of his life. </li></ul><ul><li>I miss him, but I know that wherever he is, my grandfather is taking care of me. </li></ul>
  11. 12. I admire my grandfather because… <ul><li>He was an extraordinary person, with a beautiful personality. My “Nonno” as I called him, was so generous that he could give everything he had for helping someone in need. Maybe he was not either a star of the media or recognised in our country, but he dedicated all of his life to Argentina, working and rising his family. I wish one day I would see him again, I know I will… </li></ul>
