Some of his inventions include the world's first computerized pollution monitoring system, telemetry devices for early weather satellites, the world's first digital watch, and the first wireless heart monitor. Roumen Antonov is a Bulgarian physicist and inventor who invented an automatic transmission and founded a company to develop and market transmission technology. He also invented a dual-speed supercharger to help downsize engines and reduce fuel consumption. Both inventors made significant technological contributions despite emigrating from Bulgaria.
