use it. So I do.
I sit down and fill my notebook with facts.

4. My dog, Sparky is pretty big and takes up a lot of
space.
I Calculate that twenty-four Sparky’s could fit into my
room, but sometimes there is not enough room for me

5. If Sparky was a whale, it would take about ten
whales to fill our whole house. I asked mum
about this and she thought it would be a good
idea because then she said she wouldn’t be able
to get into the kitchen. No more cooking for
mum!

6. We have a big tree in our
back yard. It grows about
one meters a year. If I grew
one meters a year I would
be eighteen meters tall by
the time I finished school.
Nobody would try and pick
on me!

7. Sparky doesn’t mind the bath too much. I
calculate that if I left the bath running it
would take twelve and half hours to fill the
bathroom.
It would take a lot less to empty if mum
opened the door!!!!

8. I love having toast for breakfast
Our toaster can shoot the toast about
thirty centimetres into the air. Imagine
if our toaster was as big as a house,
watch our Air New Zealand planes.

9. At the local RSA they had a competition to guess how many
jelly beans were in a jar. They didn’t know who they were
dealing with.
