This document summarizes a research study on improving accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities in Brazilian museums. The study examines how a person's senses and emotions are engaged during a museum visit and how the "atmosphere" impacts their experience and ability to feel included. The researchers conducted accessibility assessments of museums in Rio de Janeiro using participant observation and visitor interviews to understand disabled persons' experiences. Their goal is to promote universal design and inclusive architecture principles to create more accessible and affective museum environments for all.
