Brendah Ndagire worked as cultural orientation intern at the International Rescue Committee, in
Baltimore Maryland.
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and
helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities to
restore safety, dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home. Domestically, our 22
offices across the U.S. ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and clothing, and work with refugees
to help them gain self-sufficiency.
Brendah Ndagire worked in the cultural orientation department from April, 2015 through June
2015. She was an honest, flexible, punctual and multitasking person who has made changes in the
lives of our clients that we serve. She helped with the cultural orientation facilitation, interpreter
scheduling, communicating with the other staff as needed, bus orientation, Bank orientation, data
entry and so on. She had been a great resource for our organization.
Additionally, Ms. Ndagire demonstrated professionalism and respect by timely finishing her work
and communicating clearly with the staff. Her passion for understanding cultural orientation
principals and client relations was evident in her work. She went above and beyond by volunteering
to make sure that the clients understand the services at the center and the new cultures to be
self-sufficient and independent in the new country​. I would like to recommend her unreservedly for
