The Black Student Law Association at UNC School of Law will host UNC Movement of Youth, a mentorship program for middle and high school students, on September 19th. The event will include a "Mock Trial: Prosecution not Execution" where students learn about how the judicial system works. UNC Movement of Youth was founded in 2006 to provide monthly Saturday Academies that intellectually, physically, and socially engage students. The upcoming Academy will include discussions on cases like Sandra Bland and Eric Garner. Movement of Youth aspires to be a leading movement for young people to disrupt the status quo and build a safer world.
