The Mooney M20 series aircraft consisted of 12 models produced from 1955 to the present. The earliest models from 1955-1961 had wooden wing spars and lower horsepower engines of 150-180 HP. Later models from 1961 onward had all-metal wings, increased engines up to 280 HP, and grew in size from short to medium to long body designs. The M20C was the most produced model and the M20R and M20TN are the current long-body models still in production with 310 and 280 HP respectively.
