How you react.
90%
The other 90% is different.
We determine the other 90%.
This 90% is called reaction; Your reaction.
6. The 90/10 Principle
You cannot control what comes out from people’s tongue.
However, you can control your reaction.
Your buddy knock over a bowl of maggie mee
onto your smartest 4.
You have no control over what has just happened.
What happens next will determine by how you react.
7. The 90/10 Principle
You curse.
You harshly scold your buddy for knocking the bowl of maggie over.
You hurl insults to your buddy for placing his maggie near your smartest 4.
Your buddy initially apologise.
Feeling hurt by your insults, he begin a short verbal battle with you.
You storm off back your bunk to fold another smart 4.
It’s almost time to fall in, your clear water bottle is empty.
With so many things undone, you were late to fall in.
After falling in, you realise you forget your camp pass.
Wing DI decides to reward you with an extra duty.
8. The 90/10 Principle
Your day has started terrible as it continues, it seems to get worst and worst.
You look forward going back bunk to rest.
When you return to bunk, you find a small wedge in your friendship
With your buddy.
WHY?
Because your buddy spilled his bowl of maggie over your smartest 4.
If he didn’t, you would have time to refill your water.
You would not need to rush down to fall in, and thus would remember your camp pass.
OH REALLY?
9. The 90/10 Principle
Your buddy knock over a bowl of maggie onto your smartest 4.
You tell him it’s alright, the smartest 4 is now just any other dirty number 4.
Your buddy apologise.
You know it’s almost time to fall in, you ask your buddy to help you to fold another smartest 4
together and get him to refill your bottle and get your camp pass while you change.
You fall in with a full water bottle and camp pass in time.
You are told you will lose your job.
Why lose sleep and get irritated?
It will work out.
Use your worrying energy and time to find a new job.
