The isolated underpass location was chosen to seem dangerous at night, with limited lighting used to generate fear.
Video production risk assessment to be finishedcharlie1901
This document summarizes the risks identified for a student video production project filming at an underpass location. Key risks included audience/public interrupting filming, allergic reactions to costumes/makeup, falling from heights while filming overhead shots, low visibility at night potentially causing trips and falls, icy roads, farm vehicles operating nearby, adverse weather, and minor injuries from props like a fake dagger. Mitigation strategies involved choosing an isolated filming location, checking for allergies, using safety harnesses for overhead shots, having lights for visibility, being cautious near roads, and safe prop handling.
The action plan lays out the tasks that need to be completed before filming can begin, who is responsible for each task, and the deadline for completing it. The plan provides a schedule for the production team to follow from the beginning of the project to ensure everything is done on time. Having an action plan is essential to stay organized and make sure key tasks like securing locations, casting roles, and developing a shooting schedule are addressed before filming the production.

Distributing digitally through an online subscription system is also proposed to reach readers switching from print.
The document discusses the social groups represented in a pop music magazine product. It aimed its product at the 16-24 year old demographic as they are most likely to purchase music products. To represent this group, it used photos of a friend modeling modern clothing styled after professional photos. The text font was also chosen to match this target group, using a "groovy" style to align with the upbeat nature of pop music.

This document defines the genre of horror and provides examples of key components and conventions in horror films. It discusses how horror aims to elicit intense fear in audiences by preying on primal fears. Successful horror films typically feature a demon/monster and create fear through dark and isolated settings, suspenseful music, and twists that leave audiences feeling unsettled. Common stereotypes include female victims, heroic characters trying to save others, protagonists who are often the smartest and survive, and antagonists who are the source of evil. To be successful, a horror film opening should include stereotypical characters and identify the genre through its use of sound, lighting, setting and a negative atmosphere that conveys danger.
At the start of the tasks, the student had little knowledge of Photoshop or InDesign and had to learn their skills as they progressed. They have improved over the tasks, shown by the more professional layout and color coordination of the final piece compared to the preliminary. Initially, the student did not understand mise-en-scene or how details impact work, but learned that every detail helps create personality. Photos for the preliminary mainly showed classrooms, while the final used increased quality mise-en-scene without confusion. Researching magazine shots helped the student use more effective shots, like a medium shot showing outfit, to attract a wider audience for the final. The main things learned were how to use and navigate Photosh
The document summarizes the hardware, software, and design tools used to create a magazine. For hardware, it mentions using a Canon 700d camera, Apple Macs, and studio lights. Photoshop was used to edit images and manipulate them to suit the magazine style. InDesign was used to assemble the edited images and layout the magazine. Prezi and Blogger were also used for planning and publishing the coursework online. Specific Photoshop and InDesign tools like layers, selection tools, fonts, and gradients are described in more detail to showcase how they benefited the magazine design process.
This document discusses how social groups and stereotypes of youth were represented in a student film project. It focuses on the social group of youth and the stereotype of "jocks." Key aspects used to represent these included interests like gaming, crime and technology; clothing like hoodies and sportswear; and locations like an underpass that imply criminal activity. The film was inspired by portrayals of jock characters in horror films and the antagonist's costume drew from the Joker character in Suicide Squad. Modern technology like cell phones were also included to reflect youth culture.
The document analyzes different cinematography techniques used in the opening scene of the film SAW. It describes how establishing shots are used to set the scene and draw in viewers. Medium shots show the character in distress and panic, creating tension and fear. High angle and low angle shots manipulate the viewer's perception of power dynamics between characters. Closed framing makes the character seem trapped and vulnerable, reflecting how she is forced to participate in the disturbing game.
The document discusses the technologies used to create a digital magazine. The creator used Photoshop to make the cover, content page, and articles. InDesign was used to assemble the 4 page magazine layout. A Dell and Mac computer, Canon 700D camera, scanner, and 3 LED studio lights were the key hardware. Photoshop was utilized for photos while InDesign integrated all elements. Learning to navigate new software and optimizing hardware setup helped achieve a professional magazine outcome.

Codes and conventions in music videos help construct meaning and include both technical and symbolic elements. Technically, elements like camera angles, sound, editing pace and genre influences are used. Symbolically, facial expressions, body language, costumes and props help viewers associate meaning. Codes and conventions ensure the visuals match the lyrics and help classify videos into genres like pop, which features choreographed dancing, or rap, which sometimes sexualizes women. Narratives in music videos can be linear with a clear beginning, middle and end, or fragmented with no obvious narrative structure. Performance styles also vary between genres, with pop videos often featuring artists in storylines rather than live performances.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
