Though females are becoming more visible in the technology and business sector, there is still a gap that needs to be addressed. I look at a few statistics in my presentation to see if females leaders really are in fact becoming a pervasive force in these industries.

2. The fact is, female leaders are not as pervasive as
they should be. Let’s look at some numbers:

• According to Catalyst.org, women hold 5.2 %
of Fortune 500 CEO positions and 5.4 % of
Fortune 1000 CEO positions
• According to CNN NewSource, only 17% of
higher-paid tech positions at Microsoft are
occupied by women
• According to Apple.com, only 30% of their
workforce is comprised of females

4. HOWEVER, THE FEMALES WHO HAVE THESE
POSITIONS ARE DOING EXCEPTIONALLY WELL
