The document discusses how worldly possessions and achievements will not matter in the end. It argues that what will truly have value is how one lived their life and the positive impact they had on others through their character, compassion, and good deeds. The document stresses that choosing to live a life that matters is not by circumstance but through making daily choices to build others up with acts of integrity, courage, and kindness. In the conclusion, it states that the real riches in life come from having a loving heart that overflows in giving to others, as love given from love will accumulate in others and lead to a blessed future even if outward things are insignificant.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Mind over matter
1. Mind Over Matter
May 27, 2020
Time to take off the mask. Mind over matter. If you don’t mind,
it don’t matter. Yet in the moment it matters how you live your
life now. One day time will stop, someday it will all come to an end. All you have really in this life is
‘this moment now and here’.
One day, perhaps not far away, there will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else or meet its end.
Your wealth, fame and worldly power will shrivel to irrelevance.Your grudges, resentments,
frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear. But also your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do
lists will expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.It won’t matter
where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end. It won’t
matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant. So what
will matter? How will the value of your days be
measured? What will matter is not what you bought, but
what you built. Not what you got, but how you gave. What
will matter is not your success, but your significance. What
will matter is not what you learned, but what you
taught. What will matter is every act of integrity,
compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered
or encouraged others to emulate your example. What will
matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting
loss when you’re gone. What will matter are not your memories, but the memories that live in those
who loved you. What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for
what. Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident. t’s not a matter of circumstance but of
choice. Choose to live a life that matters.
The outer is but trinkets compared to what is dug out of the inner you that can give and receive,
even if people are like feral, wild, taking animals. Give from your heart, especially to those who can
receive the joyful gifts of just invisible small ‘lagniappes’. The real riches are from the clear heart
and the being of self love that overflows with giving to those able to receive it. It’s ‘heart over
matter’ whats is given don’t matter if it’s from the heart. Love given from love accumulates in the
heart of another, even if the mind don’t matter. Those who pass with lots of love within have won
their future of a blessed mystery.
