James enters his home angry to find his father shouting aggressively at him in front of one of his father's friends. His father violently grabs him by the neck but James breaks free and runs upstairs to his mother's bedroom. He finds his mother coughing in bed and promises to take care of her, as his father has not been helping. The scene then shifts to Zarna's family meeting. Zarna ignores her father's questions about her day and nervously walks upstairs. The final scene shows Zarna at the airport with a suitcase, hoping life will be better elsewhere as she boards a plane away from her current situation.

1. Behind Closed Doors Script
Scene - James enters home
James enters his house looking agitated and angry when a loud voice is
heard. Sitting with his dad is one of his fathers mates.
Dad:
(shouting loudly and aggressively) Where the fuck have you been
James:
The fuck do you care for
Dad:
Don't fucking talk to me like that you cunt, have some respect for your elders.
James:
I aint givin you no respect prick.
James's dad grabs him by the scruff of the neck violently and pulls him
close.
James:
I can smell your breath you fucking alcoholic
James breaks free and runs upstairs. He enters dimly lit room and slowly
approaches a bed with someone in.
James:
(speaking softly) howre you doing mum?
Mum:
(coughs audibly) its been a long day, your father hasn't been much help as usual.
(coughs again)
James:
Its alright, its gonna be alright, I'll take care of you I promise.

Scene - Zarna family meeting
INT. lARNA'S HOME - AFTERNOON
larna returns home and opens the door to the house to be greeted by her parents, who are
unsuspecting of what she has experienced once again.
Mother
Welcome home dear
Father
How's your day been sweetie?
larna ignores her father and goes to walk upstairs.
larna's father looks at her questionably as if he still doesn't know what's going on with his daughter,
then asksthe same question again with a more sincere tone.
larna nervously
Beena long day

3. Scene - Airport
INT. ZARNA AIRPORT
Zarna walks towards the airport with a suitcase in hand with a plane ticket in the other.
Zarna
Hopefully life will be better than it was here
