Correct use of machine shop safety practices.

Understanding of shop math, geometry, and trigonometry, metric and standard measurement systems.
Ability to take reading from different measurement devices. I.E. Micrometers, calipers, rules, gages, optical comparator,CMM.
Knowledge of metallurgy, cutting tools and sharpening cutting tools.
I understand and use microscopes and surface finish indicators to produce tight tolerance surface callouts.
Proficient in programming and operation of lathes and mills as well as manual mill and lathe operation.

Make offsets and edits to ensure production quality is met.
Setup and teardown machines including bar loaders.
General shop Maintenance; Monitor lubrication levels, clean chip sumps and pans, Grease gears and tools I.E. Jarvis heads etc.
Correct use of hand tools found in the shop.
Competences in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer, and able to learn new programs quickly.
