November to witness these breathtaking

5. Tarikhet village
The popular hill station of Tarikhet is
located at distance of 8 kilometres from
the town of Ranikhet, and is well known
for its historical significance. Tarikhet
was a major site during India's struggle
for independence, since Mahatma Gandhi
himself stayed here in ‘Gandhi Kutiya’ for
a long time during the freedom struggle.
This small village is calming and
refreshing, and takes visitors closer to
nature.
6. Binsar mahadev temple
Reputed for being the most visited
temple in Uttarakhand, the Binsar
Mahadev Mandir is an ancient temple in
Bisaona. It was built by King Pithu in the
10th century, and is dedicated to Lord
Shiva, who is worshipped as Bindeshwar
in the temple. Besides, one can also find
the idols of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Gauri
and Goddess Mahisasuramardini in the
temple, along with the idol of
Mahisasuramardini.
