Margherita Bandini has made invaluable contributions to the Otter Specialist Group of IUCN through overseeing the publication of a testimonial book called "We Love Otters" which required arranging essays and images, organizing the 13th International Otter Congress in Singapore which had over 140 attendees from Asia and globally, and creating and maintaining the website for the Himalayan Otter Network to facilitate collaboration. Her work for these nonprofit organizations has been prompt, skillful, and a talented contribution.

Margherita Bandini has been an invaluable assistant to the Otter Specialist Group of the
IUCN. She oversaw the compilation and design of an important publication of the Group,
a testimonial book by otter researchers and conservationists throughout the world,
entitled ‘We Love Otters.’ The book required arranging many essays from contributors,
and dovetailing photographic images with text.
She was an irreplaceable member of the organizing committee of the 13 th
International
Otter Congress held in Singapore in July, 2016. Over 140 wildlife researchers from many
Asian countries and from around the globe assembled for a 6 day meeting, for which
Margherita arranged program and attendance logistics.
In addition, Margherita has helped create and maintain a website for the Himalayan Otter
Network, working to produce a clean, appealing, and current mechanism for scattered
collaborators from Himalayan countries to keep in touch. Her work has been prompt,
skillful, and talented. She has made, and continues to make, an excellent contribution to
an effective non-profit organization.
