Megan Jackson conducted a needs assessment survey of teachers at her school. Based on the results, she learned that most teachers use Promethean Boards and would prefer a screencast-based professional development that could be viewed at their convenience. The teachers also reported using technology in their classrooms more than six times per day. However, support staff like special education teachers do not utilize technology as much in their lessons. Megan plans to create a specialized presentation for these staff on ways to incorporate assistive technology into interventions and use apps and games to engage students.

4. NEEDS ASSESSMENT RESULTS
 Based on the results of my needs assessment, I
have learned these things:
1. Most teachers at my school use Promethean
Boards and are comfortable using them
2. The majority of the teachers at my school would
prefer a screencast professional development that
can be viewed at their own time/pleasure.
3. The teachers at my school utilize technology in
their classroom to teach more than 6 times per day.

5. NEEDS ASSESSMENT SUMMARY
 Based on the results of my needs assessment
survey, my support staff at my school (special
education/speech), not utilize technology much
in their lessons.
 I would like to do a specialized presentation that
speaks to the special education community at
my school. This presentation would include
ways to incorporate technology into
interventions and incentive programs/apps/
games that can help our students get more
involved with and interested in learning.
