Megan Jackson conducted a needs assessment survey of teachers at her school. Based on the results, she learned that most teachers use Promethean Boards and would prefer a screencast-based professional development that could be viewed at their convenience. The teachers also reported using technology in their classrooms more than six times per day. However, support staff like special education teachers do not utilize technology as much in their lessons. Megan plans to create a specialized presentation for these staff on ways to incorporate assistive technology into interventions and use apps and games to engage students.
