MedSpan is an iPhone/iPod application developed by Jan Meizel to assist physicians and health workers in conducting medical interviews with Spanish-speaking patients. It translates medical interview questions from English to Spanish and vice versa, allowing for expedited examinations. It also facilitates record keeping by allowing users to save interview notes and send results via email. In addition to translations, MedSpan provides medical vocabulary for patient instructions and laboratories, as well as bilingual anatomic diagrams to aid explanations.
