The
World
Bank/IMF
Staff
Meditation
Club
was
founded
back
in
2010
is
a
jewel
among
the
different
development
organizations
clubs.
It
a
wonderful
club
where
staff
and
friends
or
visitors
can
join
in
for
free
meditation
classes.
You
do
not
have
to
believe
in
anything
to
meditate.
If
you
are
breathing,
you
can
be
meditating.
Thus,
the
meditation
classes
encompass
different
meditation
traditions
and
praise
original
and
authentic
traditions
including
what
we
call
mindfulness
meditation,
transcendental
meditation,
and
“state
of
mind”
meditation.
Meditation
comes
from
Burmese,
Vietnamese,
or
Tibetan
styles
as
well
as
from
Catholic
or
Greek
Orthodox
traditions.
Why
should
you
care?
The
Meditation
Club
is
based
on
a
very
innovative
modus
operandi.
Meditators
are
joining
forces
to
teach
meditation
and
yoga
classes
each
week
to
all
staff
for
free.
In
another
collaboration
with
yoga
enthusiasts,
we
are
partnering
with
in-‐house
yoginis
to
teach
a
daily
1-‐hour
meditation
class
which
is
for
free-‐for-‐all.
The
Club
meets
at
least
once
a
week
with
two
meditation
classes
offered
for
a
period
of
50
minutes
and
30
minutes
as
well
as
half
a
day
meditation
retreat
each
month.
What
truly
makes
the
Meditation
Club
so
unique
is
that
it
is
in
a
network
of
international
Meditation
Clubs
around
the
world
associated
with
major
banks
in
the
banking
industry
and
especially,
international
development
institutions.
We
also
often
organize
meditation
classes
in
collaboration
with
other
Meditation
or
Yoga
studios
around
Washington
DC
and
New
York
City.
The
highest
masters
of
our
time
are
teachers
and
supporters
of
the
Meditation
Club.
