Meditation
A practice that gives relaxation and heightened awareness by minimizing distractions.
Techniques like controlled breathing, concentration, and visualization are common. The aim is
improved mental clarity, emotional stability, and calmness.
Mindfulness
A specific meditation type, involves non-judgmental observation of the present moment. It
enhances self-awareness, reduces stress, and promotes well-being.

Transcendental Meditation (TM)
This meditation technique is developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It involves
silently repeating a specific mantra to facilitate a state of deep relaxation and
heightened awareness. The practice aims to allow the mind to transcend ordinary
thought patterns, leading to inner calm, reduced stress, and improved well-being.
TM is often taught through personalized instruction by certified teachers and is
known for its simplicity and accessibility.
Loving - Kindness Meditation (Metta)
It is a type of meditation that focuses on
cultivating feelings of compassion, love, and
goodwill towards oneself and others.
Practitioners repeat affirmations or phrases that
express these positive emotions, gradually
extending them from themselves to loved ones,
acquaintances, and even to individuals they
may have conflicts with. The practice aims to
foster a sense of interconnectedness, empathy,
and emotional well-being, while also promoting
a more positive and loving outlook on life.
Zen Meditation (Zazen)
Zen Buddhist practice of seated
meditation. It emphasizes focused
awareness on the breath or
present experience, fostering
concentration, mindfulness, and
insight. The goal is to understand
one's true nature and achieve
inner peace.
