2. S.304-B,I.P.C:-Where the death of a
woman is caused by any burns or bodily
injury or occurs under abnormal
circumstances within seven years of her
marriage by her husband or his relatives
in demand for dowry.
3. S-498-A,I.P.C:-Whoever is the husband
or the relative of the husband of a woman
subjects the woman to cruelty shall be
punished with imprisonment up to three
years.Incase of death of the woman the
punishment shall be imprisonment of not
less than seven years,but may extend to
life imprisonment.
4. Dowry deaths occur,either by murder of a
married woman or she herself committing
suicide being unable to bear harassment or
cruelty for not fulfilling the promises by
her parents or her relatives or those
interested in her marriage.
