3.  Meaning of jurisprudence
Jurisprudence:
 The word Jurisprudence is derived from Latin words, Juris
+prudent =jurisprudence.
"Juris" means 'of law ' &
"Prudens" means 'skilled‘
 .The term indicates 'skill of law' or "knowledge of law "; but it
also known as theory of law , philosophy of law , eyes of law ,
heart of law , sea of law , ground of law , and root of law .
 It is true that all subject of law rest on jurisprudence .Without
jurisprudence they can't survive .That's why it is called as Parents
of law and all law are born from Jurisprudence.

5. Definition of jurisprudence :
1. Salmond:
Salmond defines Jurisprudence as the "Science of the first
principles of civil law". In Salmond's point of
view, Jurisprudence thus deals with civil law or the law of
the state. This kind of law consists of rules applied by courts
in the administration of justice
2. Ulpine
"Jurisprudence is the knowledge of things divine and
human, the science of the just & unjust"

Jurisprudence is the philosophy aspect of knowledge of law.

Jurisprudence is the philosophy of positive law.

Jurisprudence is a scientific synthesis of essential principal of law .

7. Importance of jurisprudence :
 A study of those fundamental principles which are common to all
system of law is of great advantage in the study of particular
system of law.
 A study of jurisprudence is of immense value to the closely allied
science of legislation
 Jurisprudence also has great educational value. the logical
analysis of legal concepts widens the outlook of lawyers and
sharper theirs logical techniques
