Virtual job fairs are a valuable tool in your cleared job search, offering the ability to interact with multiple cleared
employers from wherever you are. Use these tips to stand out to recruiters and make the most of the event.
1. Complete Your Registration.
Have your resume ready to register
on ClearedJobs.Net, then watch for
an email so you can complete your
registration on Brazen, the virtual
job fair site.
2. Draft Your Intro and
Responses. Write a brief
introduction for yourself as
well as responses to commonly
asked interview questions before
the event. Craft clear, concise
statements about you, your
experience, and your goals that
you can easily copy and paste into
the chat.
3. Prepare Good Questions.
Research participating companies
to prepare specific questions for
each. Thoughtful questions stand
out and should be about the
company culture and climate, their
hiring process, or professional and
staff development (information
you don’t find on their website).
4. Check Your Tech. The virtual
event is web based so downloads

This is where your chat history and
diligent note taking will come in
handy. Send a follow-up note and
say thanks after the job fair, within
24 hours. Make sure to include
something specific you discussed
to help them remember your
conversation.
12. Prepare to Cross the Finish
Line. Get yourself ready and
polished for the interview process,
salary negotiation, your first sixty
days in your new position and
