Bosnia is a country located in Southeastern Europe on the Balkan Peninsula. It has a population of over 3 million people and its capital and largest city is Sarajevo. Bosnia has a diverse landscape and has faced political and ethnic tensions since declaring independence from Yugoslavia in 1992.
