 The construction began in 1994 and it was finally completed 13 years
later in 2007. It is said that before the temple existed, there was a small

hundreds of people living illegally.The state forest minister, Pramila
Brahma, said that the move was necessary as the encroachments were
hampering the environment.

 Ashok Kumar is a former Indian professional field hockey player. He
was instrumental in securing India’s only triumph in aWorld Cup by
scoring the decisive goal against Pakistan in 1975.
 In 1979, he was late for the pre-Olympic training camp for reasons
beyond his control and hence wasn’t allowed to attend the camp for
the next edition of Olympics.
 Had he been allowed to attend he would have been a part of history
and join others like Jenkins, Buchanan and Keller.
 In sheer disgust, Ashok Kumar announced his retirement from hockey.
 Why was he late?

 Dhyanchand died in 1979 and he was late because of performing his
