- 2. ¿QUÉ ES UNECOSISTEMA? Un ecosistema es un conjunto de seres vivos y el medio físico en el que viven, se desarrollan y se relacionan. ECOSISTEMA DE MÉXICO Debido a su ubicación geográfica y a su diverso relieve, México tiene una gran diversidad de ecosistemas, que van desde lo más alto de las montañas hasta los mares profundos, pasando por desiertos y arrecifes de coral, bosques nublados y lagunas costeras
- 3. MATORRALES Ocupa alrededor del30% del país con una amplia distribución. Comunidades vegetales dominadas por arbustos de altura inferior a 4 m. Son propias de climas secos con lluvias escasas y zonas frágiles que favorecen la desertificación.
- 4. Cubren el 29.7%del país (576, 747 km²), desde el nivel del mar hasta 3,000 msnm pero generalmente por debajo de esta altitud. DISTRIBUCIÓN
- 5. Habitan principalmente enel norte del país, desde Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, y en parte en los estados de San Luis Potosí, Durango y Guanajuato. Hacia el Norte también en Chihuahua, Sonora y Baja California. Parte de los estados de Puebla y Oaxaca en el Valle de Tehuacán Cuicatlán también albergan matorrales.
- 6. CLIMA Habitan climas áridosy semiáridos que pueden variar desde muy caluroso en las planicies costeras hasta relativamente fresco en las partes altas. En zonas con precipitación inferior a 700 mm y con 7 a 12 meses secos por año, en amplias extensiones su precipitación es de 300 a 400 mm. La temperatura promedio de 12 a 26° C
