Vertical Metals can be made with different combinations of metals, thus giving to the surrounding environment a refined and exclusive taste.
All elements can be powder coated, a metallic surface covering procedure done with an organic film; that is created both for decorative purposes and protection against corrosion and strong agents. In addition to all RAL colours, several finishes are available on demand.

With a view to the past, we design the umbrellas of the future
It was 1960 when Vittorio Gaggio, starting out in a small artisan workshop in the Venetian hinterland, devised the very first models of Italian sun umbrellas, starting with the wood from which the slats and poles were created, with the addition of rough canvas that was hand-sewn by his wife Egle. This innate ability to create has since been handed down from generation to generation, as the company evolved like its products.

The defining feature of MATLIGHT Milano is its lighting of stone and marble
of different types, finishes and functions. The marble emerges as the domi-
nant element; when combined with light it expresses itself to the fullest effect.

Stone and marble are used with different functions: they provide both struc-
tural base elements, cut using waterjets and contoured into design shapes,
and coverings that replace lampshades, thereby highlighting transparency,
tone and other original and eye-catching lighting effects.

7. La linea ICONIC è nata dalla volonta di estremizzare
il gioco di contrasti tra profilo e assenza di contenuto,
applicato a forme lineari, quali il rettangolo e l’ovale, ed
una classica per eccellenza, l’anfora.
Abbiamo lavorato su proporzioni e divagazioni materiche,
anche come provocazione, per dare vita a una linea che
deve, innanzitutto, divertire e colpire.
I due elementi distintivi della linea ICONIC sono la
stilizzazione delle diverse sagome e la valorizzazione
dell’elemento elettrico, il cavo, impreziosito e posizionato
al centro della scena della sagoma vuota.
The ICONIC range is the result of the desire to take the
contrast between contours and absence of content to an
extreme level, applying it to linear shapes, like the rectangle
and the oval, and the truly classic form of the amphora.
We’ve worked on proportions and experimented with ma-
terials, not least as a provocation, to give life to a project
that first and foremost aims to amuse and amaze.
The two distinctive features of Matlight’s ICONIC range are
the stylized shapes and the enhancement of the electrical
element, the cable, which is embellished and placed at the
centre of the empty shape.

corpo illuminante con il paralume in un unico elemento,
giocando sulle trasparenze ottenute dalla luce attraverso
onici e marmi di super-alleggeriti.
La magia delle trasparenze gioca un ruolo importante
in questi modelli, creando atmosfere molto diverse tra
loro a seconda delle pietre utilizzate e le tonalità che ne
emergono.
The TECH range was conceived with the idea of merging
the luminaire with the lampshade into a single element,
playing on the transparencies of the light through the ultra-
thin onyx and marble.
The magic of transparency plays a key role in these models,
creating very different atmospheres, depending on the stone
used and the color tones that emerge.

La linea ESSENTIAL mantiene nelle basi la preziosa com-
ponente del marmo, elemento riconoscitivo di MATLIGHT
Milano, ma si snellisce nello sviluppo verticale con forme e
volumi armoniosi e leggeri.
Elemento caratterizzante di questa linea è la rivisitazione
del concetto classico di paralume: non più un unico elemen-
to organico, bensì la contrapposizione di due ventole in
contrasto tra loro per misure e materiali, per ottenere giochi
di forme e di luce molto particolari.
The ESSENTIAL range maintains the lamp bases in precious
marble, the recognizable feature of MATLIGHT Milano, but
it streamlines the vertical shapes through harmonious and
light volumes.
The distinguishing feature of this range, is the reinterpretation
of the classic concept of lamp shade: no longer a single
organic element, but the contraposition of two contrasting
fans together to sizes and materials, to obtain very peculiar
plays of shapes and lights.

DESIGNERS’ Range
Si è laureata all’Accademia di Architettura e Arte degli Urali e
all’Università di Huddersfield (UK).
Utilizzando i punti di forza delle scuole russe e britanniche di proget-
tazione, Ekaterina ha creato un suo stile unico e riconoscibile ed è
diventata molto ricercata nel campo del design d’interni e di comple-
menti d’arredo.
Nel 2008, Ekaterina ha fondato il suo studio di progettazione, in cui
sono stati realizzati molti progetti d’interni residenziali e commerciali,
così come collezioni di mobili ed illuminazione per aziende leader a
livello mondiale e per il proprio marchio. Ekaterina Elizarova ha vinto
numerosi prestigiosi premi a livello mondiale nella progettazione; tra
di essi ci sono RED DOT, A’DESIGN AWARD & Competition, DESIGN
AND DESIGN International Award, Favorite Design, Eurasian Prize ed
altri.
Le collezioni di elementi e complementi d’arredo disegnate da Eka-
terina Elizarova sono esposte ogni anno presso le più grandi espo-
sizioni a Milano, Londra, Parigi, New York, Pechino, Singapore e altre
importanti città di design del mondo.
Dal 2014, le credazioni di design di Ekaterina Elizarova sono regolar-
mente presenti presso importanti case d’aste a Parigi. Oggi, Ekaterina

Biography
Ekaterina Elizarova was chosen to be the Best Designer of 2015 according to the version of ELLE Decoration, an influential interior and lifestyle magazine. Ekaterina Elizarova is a member of such international design
associations as IAD, ICSID, IFI, ICOGRADA. Besides she is a member of “Designers’ Union of Russia”.
She is a graduate of the Ural Academy of Architecture and Arts and the University of Huddersfield (UK). Using the strengths of Russian and British schools of design, Ekaterina has created her own unique and recognizable
style and has become a high in-demand specialist in the field of interior and object design.
In 2008 Ekaterina founded her own Design Studio, where a lot of residential and social interior projects have been implemented, as well as the collections of furniture pieces and lightings for the leading global companies
and for the own brand. Ekaterina Elizarova is a prizewinner of many prestigious global awards in design; among them are RED DOT, A’DESIGN AWARD & Competition, DESIGN AND DESIGN International Award,
Favorite Design, Eurasian Prize and others.
The collections of interior objects designed by Ekaterina Elizarova can be annually seen at the largest exhibitions in Milan, London, Paris, New York, Beijing, Singapore and other design significant cities of the world. Since
2014 the design objects by Ekaterina Elizarova are officially presenting at the auctions in Paris. Today, Ekaterina is actively involved in projects in Russia, Europe and USA. She is designing collections for the world factories,
delivering lectures and consulting companies in design trends.
