The document discusses a math problem involving calculating the cost of printing newspapers to break even. It states that each roll of newsprint can make 100 copies, and they need 87 rolls at $75 per roll, for a total cost of $6525. To break even and recover costs by selling the 8700 total copies, each copy would need to be sold for 75 cents. It concludes by saying the group found the math problem simple and hopes future problems are more challenging.
3. Solving the Problem
Every roll of newsprint will make 100 copies. If you
times that by 87 you get 8700. this means you need
87 rolls of news print which would cost 6525 dollars.
If they want to just recover their costs but not make
any more money they need to sell each roll for 75
cents. To get the answer you divide 8700 by 6525. So
you get 75 cents.

4. REFLECTION
We all thought this was quite a simple math
problem, it didn’t take to long to solve it.
Next time we hope it could be a bit more
challenging.
